CES 2017: We have seen the future and its got levitating speakers in it. You read us right. LG Electronics showcased its Levitating Portable Speaker (PJ9) at Las Vegas tech show CES 2017. Wowing the crowds, LG’s wireless speaker has the power to hover thanks to electromagnets housed inside the accompanying Levitation Station. Once its 10-hour battery begins to run low, the smart portable speaker automatically descends to the Levitation Station and begins to charge wirelessly with no assistance from you or interruption in the music.
Designed for indoor and outdoor use, LG’s PJ9 is IPX7 compliant in order to withstand any adverse weather condition. For added convenience and versatility, Multipoint technology enables the speaker to connect to two Bluetooth devices simultaneously.
“Our latest addition to our growing lineup of premium wireless audio devices is not only eye-catching but also communicates the message that LG is serious about bringing something different to the table,” comments Brian Kwon, President and CEO of LG’s Home Entertainment Company. “We are absolutely dedicated to exploring new concepts and to pioneering innovative designs for its advanced audio products for consumers around the world, and the PJ9 is the latest example of this commitment.”
