Aurora comprises nine triangular light panels that can be mounted on a wall in almost any shape you desire. The kit also includes a system controller that broadcasts a Wi-Fi signal. Once paired with the free Apple and Android app, it will automatically identify and display the layout of the panels on your phone or tablet.
The panels can be set to show one of 16 million colours or cycle through a series of light animations. Furthermore, use the app to create lighting scenes. Wake up to a welcoming sunrise. Drift off to sleep to a soothing sunset. If you love to entertain, create a lighting scheme suitable for a party.
Now available with Amazon Alexa control, Aurora can be controlled with simple voice commands, such as “Alexa, turn on Aurora”, “ Alexa, turn off Aurora.” or “Alexa, dim Aurora.” Furthermore, ask Alexa to turn on your preconfigured Aurora lighting scenes.
Get started by enabling the Nanoleaf Smarter Series skill in the Alexa app. The next step is to ask Alexa to “discover new devices.” She’ll quickly scan and add all your Nanoleaf lights to her list of supported devices. You will then be able to control them using whatever names you have given them in the Nanoleaf app.
Don’t have an Amazon Echo or Echo Dot? If you’re an Apple fan, Nanoleaf Smart Lighting also supports HomeKit and Siri voice commands.
Nanoleaf is committed to transforming the way we light up our world with ultra energy efficient LED lighting. As a result, its Aurora smart lighting panels have a lifetime of 25,000 hours. Kits are available from Amazon with a suggested retail price of £179.99. A three-panel Expansion Pack is also available, priced around £54.99.
